Summer lace crochet scarf, this easy to make free crochet scarf pattern is crocheted in a light worsted #3 yarn (double crochet for UK users) in a lace cluster stitch which makes it so pretty and airy to wear in the summer months.
I have made it in one solid colour, but a variegated or self striping yarn (random colour for UK) would look just as nice too.

yrh. Yarn Round Hook
tr2tog. Treble Two Together
Leaving last loop of each tr on hook, work 2tr into same space or stitch, yrh and draw through all 3 loops.
Base of ch. Work into first stitch
5ch counts as first tr and 2ch.
Approx Finished Size: 4 inches x 57 inches

For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
80 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK yarn
4.50mm crochet hook

UK INSTRUCTIONS:
Made in multiples of 4 + 2
Make 18ch, working into back bump of chain (see pics) work 1dc into the 2nd ch from hook, * make 2ch, miss 1ch, tr2tog (see abbrev) into next ch, make 2ch, miss next ch, dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (4, tr2tog)
2nd Row – * make 5ch, 1dc into next tr2tog, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch space and dc, make 2ch, miss 2ch space, 1tr into dc Turn.
3rd Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, * make 2ch, tr2tog into next dc, make 2ch, dc into next 5ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, working last dc into 3rd of 5ch. Turn.
Rpt 2nd and 3rd rows until scarf measures 57 inches from beginning. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
