For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
30 grams of King Cole Baby Comfort DK in each of colours 1, 2, 3, & 4
4.00mm crochet hook
TENSION – 5tr & 2 rows measures approx 1 inch

UK INSTRUCTIONS:
With colour 1 make 39ch, work 1tr in 4th ch from hook, * make 3ch, miss 3ch, work 1tr into each of next 2ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (7, 3ch spaces)
2nd Row – 3ch, work 5tr into every 3ch space to end, 1tr into top of 3tch. Turn. (7, 5tr groups)
3rd Row – 3ch, 1tr into next tr, * 3ch, miss 3tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to last 4tr and 3tch, miss 3tr, 1tr into last tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
4th Row – 3ch, work 5tr into every 3ch space to end, 1tr into top of 3tch. Turn.
Rpt the 3rd & 4th Rows in colour sequence as follows:
Once in colour 1.
# Three times in colour 2, three times in colour 3, three times in colour 4, three times in colour 1 #
Rpt from # to # 4 more times, making 126 rows in all. Fasten off.
Join colour 1 to starting ch edge and rpt 4th Row to end. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
