Egg Cup-Saucer – Staying with the Easter theme for you, I have designed a pattern for a crochet egg cup-saucer.

I have made them in bright pastel colors that I’m sure will give my Easter breakfast table a jolly look, why not draw faces on the eggs to add a touch of fun.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

3ch counts as first tr

Finished size approx:  4 Inch Diameter

Materials
I have used approx:-

10 grams of King Cole big value DK

OR an equivalent yarn i.e
0.5oz of Worsted Weight #3 Yarn

4.00mm Clover crochet hook

TENSION – 5tr & 2 rows measures approx 1 inch

Made in rounds without turning throughout.

Saucer – Make magic circle, work 3ch, (RS) 12tr into ring, pull loose thread to close, ss to top of 3ch. (12tr + 3ch)

Row 2 – (Inc) 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, work 2tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (25tr + 3ch)

Row 3 – (Inc) Working into back loop of stitch for this row only, make 3ch, work 1tr in base of 3ch, * 1tr into next tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, 1tr into tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (38tr + 3ch)

Row 4 – (Inc) Working through both loops from now on, make 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, * 1tr into each of next 2tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr, 1tr into each tr, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (51tr + 3ch)

Row 5 – 1ch, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into base of 1ch, * miss 1tr, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, miss tr, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Cup – Join yarn to loose loops (these were created when you worked into the back loops on Row 3), work around the outside of the stitches (not the inside), make 3ch, work 1tr into each loose loop to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (25tr + 3ch)

Next Row – 3ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row.

Rpt last row once. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.

Cup – Join yarn to loose loops (these were created when you worked in the back loops on Row 3), work around the outside of the stitches (not the inside), ch3, work 1dc in each loose loop to end, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. (25dc + ch3)

Next Row – ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, sl st to top of ch3 on the beginning of row.
