Crochet crumpled dishcloth pattern, this lovely pattern works up quickly and is an easy design for beginners to practice with, made in crumpled griddle stitch, make for your own kitchen plus family and friends.
You could also add more to the starting chains (see below for multiples) and more rows if you wish to make blankets.
I have made the samples in a light worsted cotton #4 yarn (Aran for UK)

Crochet Hook Size
I have used a 4.00mm crochet hook size for the samples of the crochet crumpled dishcloth pattern, if you are using different yarn to what I have used, check the ball band of the yarn for the correct hook size.

Made in multiples of 2
Make 34ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, * 1tr into next ch, 1dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (33 stitches)
2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of 1ch, * 1tr into next tr, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
Rpt 2nd Row until work measures approx 8 inches from beginning, approx 29 rows in all. Turn.
Border – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of 1ch, 1dc into each stitch to end, 3dc into corner, work dc evenly into row ends down first side of cloth, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting chain edge, 3dc into corner, 1dc evenly into row ends up second side of cloth, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Second Row – 1ch, dc into stitch at the base of the 1ch, * make 3ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * around cloth to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
