Crumpled Griddle Crochet Stitch Free Tutorial

Crumpled griddle crochet stitch, crochet with an even number of chains using a one row repeat, this written crochet stitch tutorial is very easy to do and makes a lovely textured design when finished.

For the samples I used a worsted weight #4 yarn (Aran for UK users) with a 4.50mm crochet hook size.

Made in any even numbers.

I have made 24ch loosely for the swatch, work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, * 1tr into next ch, 1dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * end. Turn.

2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, * 1tr into next tr, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.

Rpt 2nd Row until length required.
