How to make the crochet popcorn stitch pictorial in step by step instructions, makes a nice textured stitch for your projects, choose how many rows you wish to have between each popcorn row, many or just a few.

Abbreviations
USA or UK
dc/tr.   Double Crochet, (Treble Crochet UK)
pc.       Popcorn.

1)      Work 5dc, (5tr UK) into same stitch, drop loop.

2)      Insert hook into top of first of the 5dc, (5tr UK).step 1-23)      Pick up dropped loop.

4)      Pull through top of first dc, (tr UK).step 3-4Voilà your popcorn is made, just continue repeating the instructions for the popcorn stitch across the row, missing 1 stitch in between each popcorn.

You will soon be making all sorts of things with this beautiful stitch once you get to grips with it.

Make a lot of blankets for charity donations so naturally use a quick stitch. This adds such a nice little flair in between the rows - gives the blankets a whole new look. Thanks so much for the idea.
