Crochet flower wheel – I have designed this quick and easy flower with spokes to resemble a wheel, then edged it in pretty pointed shells, make to use on bags, blankets, cushions etc.
I have made the free crochet pattern in three colors, but it can just as easily be made in one or two.

ch. Chain
dc. Double Crochet
tr. Treble Crochet
rpt. Repeat
ss. Slip Stitch
DNT. Do Not Turn
3ch counts as first tr
6ch counts as first tr and 3ch
Base of ch. Work into first stitch
Approx Finished Size: 4.5 Inch Diameter
Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn I have used:-
Small amounts of Paintbox Simply DK Yarn in colours 1, 2 & 3
OR
Small amounts of Worsted Weight #3 in colours 1, 2 & 3

With colour 1 make a magic circle, work 3ch, 10tr into circle, pull loose thread to close, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. Fasten off. Turn.
Round 2 – Join in colour 2, make 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, 2dc into each tr to end, ss to first dc. Turn. (22dc)
Round 3 – 6ch, * miss 1dc, 1tr into next dc, make 3ch, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to 3rd of 6ch. Fasten off. DNT.
Round 4 – Join in colour 3 with a ss to first 3ch space, make 3ch, work (1tr, 2ch, 2tr) into same space, * 1dc into next tr, (2tr, 2ch, 2tr) into next 3ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, 1dc into top of 3ch on Round 3, ss to 1st of 3ch on beginning of round. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and tie off all loose ends of yarn.
