I have used a 6.00mm hook and King Cole Comfort Aran yarn (worsted weight) in colours white & surf for the samples, the thicker the yarn you use the more the bobbles will show.

ch.     Chain
dc.     Double Crochet
dtr.    Double Treble Crochet
rpt.    Repeat

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

Made in any even number.

I have made 24ch for the sample, (RS) work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn (23dc)

2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, * 1dtr into next dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.

3rd Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, 1dc into each stitch to end. Turn.

Rpt 2nd & 3rd Rows until required length, changing to contrast colours when and if you wish.
