Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Approx Size:   18 inch chain

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

Small amounts of King Cole Comfort Aran in colour 1
Small amounts of King Cole Comfort Aran in colour 2

5.00mm crochet hook, 1 brass button and 1 plain button

Diamond – With colour 1 make a magic circle, work 1ch, 12dc into circle, pull loose thread to close, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into next dc, * (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into next dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

3rd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next dc, * (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into next 2ch space, 1dc into each of next 4dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch space and 2dc, work (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into 2ch space, 1dc into each of last 2dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Loop – Join colour 2 to any 2ch space with a ss, make 6ch, ss to ss. Fasten off.

Necklace Chain – With colour 2 make 96ch, ss to 7th ch from hook. Fasten off.
(you can make a longer chain for a pendant)

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, attach brass button to centre of diamond, thread necklace chain through loop on diamond, attach plain button to correspond with the ch fastening.
