yrh pull up loop, (twice), yrh draw through 4 loops, yrh draw through 2 loops.
ps group. Puff stitch group
(2ps, 1ch, 2ps) into the same stitch or space.
vst. V Stitch
(1tr, 1ch, 1tr) into the same stitch or space.
Base of ch. Work into first stitch

With colour 1 make a chain length in multiples of 6 loosely.
I started with 42ch, (RS) work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn.
2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, make 1ch, miss 1dc, work ps group (see abbrev) into next dc, * 1ch, miss 2dc, 1dc into next dc, 1ch, miss 2dc, ps group into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, make 1ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into last dc. Turn.
3rd Row – 4ch, (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into 1ch space on ps group, * 1ch, 1vst (see abbrev) into next dc, 1ch, (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into 1ch space on ps group, * rpt from * to * to last dc, make 1ch, work 1tr into dc. Turn.
4th Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, make 1ch, ps group into next 2ch space, * 1ch, 1dc into vst, 1ch, ps group into 2ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, make 1ch, 1dc into 3rd of 4ch. Turn.
Fasten off. Join in colour 2.
Rpt 3rd and 4th Rows changing colour every four rows, working colour 1 and colour 2 alternately until you have your desired length.
