Adjacent Shells Crochet Stitch

I have used 3 colors for the swatch, but you can use one color if you wish.

Stitches Used
Ch.    Chain
dc.    Double Crochet
rpt.   Repeat

Make a chain length loosely in multiples of 4 + 3

Work (3dc, ch1, 1dc) in 5th ch from hook, * skip 3ch’s, (3dc, ch1, 1dc) in next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, miss 1ch, 1dc in last ch. Turn.

Pattern Row – ch3, * (3dc, ch1, 1dc) in next ch1 space, skip 4dc, * rpt from * to * to end, skip 3dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.

Rpt last row alternating colors every two rows until required length.
