100 grams of King Cole Melody DK yarn
4.50mm & 4.00mm crochet hooks

UK INSTRUCTIONS:
Made in Multiples of 4 + 1
With 4.50mm hook make 49ch, (RS) work (3tr, 1ch, 1tr) into 4th ch from hook, * miss 3ch, (3tr, 1ch, 1tr) into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last ch, work 1tr into ch. Turn. (12 groups)
2nd Row – 3ch, (3tr, 1ch, 1tr) into next 1ch space, * miss 4tr, (3tr, 1ch, 1tr) into next 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 3tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
Rpt 2nd Row until 31 rows have been worked.
Border – Change to 4.00mm hook, make 1ch, work 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, missing all 1ch spaces work 1dc into each tr to end, 3dc into corner, 2dc into each row end down first side of mat, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting ch edge, 3dc into corner, 2dc into each row end up second side of mat, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Working 3dc into each of the corners, work 2 more rows of 1ch, 1dc into stitch at the base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Fourth Row – 1ch, * (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into stitch at base of 1ch, miss 2dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. DNT.
Fifth Row – 1ch, miss 2dc, work (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into each 2ch space to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Weave and trim off ends.
