20 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in colour 1
15 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in colour 2

4.00mm Clover Crochet Hook

TENSION – 5tr & 2.5 rows measures approx 1 inch

Make a magic circle, (RS) work 2ch, 15tr into ring, pull loose thread to close circle, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (15tr)

2nd Row – (Inc row) 2ch, 2tr into base of 2ch, 2tr into each tr to end, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (30tr)

3rd Row – (Inc row) 2ch, 1tr into base of 2ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (44tr)

4th Row – (Inc row) 2ch, 1tr into base of 2ch, 1tr into next tr, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into each of next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (58tr)

5th Row – 2ch, 1tr into base of 2ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to first tr on beginning of row. Fasten off.

16th Row – Join in colour 1, make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. DNT.

Work in rows without turning from now on.

17th Row – (Inc row) Working into FLO for this row, make 2ch, 1tr into base of 2ch, * 2tr into next tr, 1tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, 2tr into tr, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (114tr)

Work through both loops of stitch from now on.

18th Row – 2ch, 1tr into base of 2ch, 1tr into each tr to end, ss to first tr on beginning of row.

Rpt 18th Row once. Fasten off.

Bow – Using colour 1 make 15ch loosely, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (14dc)

2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.

Rpt 2nd Row until 12 rows have been worked in all. Turn.

Border – 1ch, (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into base of 1ch, * miss 1st, (1dc, 2ch, 1dc) into next st, * rpt from * to * around to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Gather bow by wrapping same colour yarn around the centre tightly to cinch together, tie loose ends together at the back to secure.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn, attach bow to side of hat.
