I’ve designed this adult headband with two ideas in mind, to make it stylish and for the practicality of keeping your ears warm.
There are two rows to the stitch pattern which are made up of ch’s, sc and dc’s, so it’s great for both the beginner and the experienced crocheter.

Approx size to fit: 4 Inch Wide x 22 Inch Length
Materials
I have used:-
35 grams of Stylecraft Special DK Yarn
An equivalent yarn would be a light worsted #3
4.50mm & 4.00mm Clover crochet hooks, 3 color buttons
GAUGE – 6dc & 1.5 pattern row rpt’s measures approx 1 inch

With 4.50mm hook ch22, (RS) work 1dc in 4th ch from hook, * skip 2ch, 3dc in next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 3ch, skip 2ch, 2dc in last ch. Turn. (5, 3dc groups)
Pattern Row 1 – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch2, skip 2dc, 1sc in centre dc of 3dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc and ch3 to turn, ch2, skip 2dc, 1sc in top of ch3. Turn. (6, ch2 spaces)
Pattern Row 2 – ch3, 1dc in base of ch3, * skip ch2, 3dc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last ch2 and sc, skip ch2, 2dc in sc. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Rows 1 & 2 twenty eight more times until thirty 3dc group rows have been worked from the beginning or work measure approx 22 Inches. Turn.
Edging – With 4.00mm hook ch1, work 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc to ch3 to turn, 3sc in top of ch3, work 88sc evenly in row ends down first side of headband to corner, 3sc in corner, working along cast on edge, work 17sc evenly to corner, 3sc in corner, work 88sc evenly in row ends up second side of headband to corner, 1sc in corner, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim off, attach buttons evenly down one of the short sides approx 0.5cm in from edge and use gaps in dc’s to fasten with.
