rpt.       Repeat
ss.         Slip Stitch

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

To fit:  Adult
Approx 3 Inches wide X 20 Inch circumference

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

25 grams of King Cole Comfort DK in colour 1
Small amount of King Cole Comfort DK in colour 2

4.50mm Crochet Hook

TENSION – 2.5 groups & 4 rows measures approx 1 inch

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

Ear Warmer – With colour 1 make 99ch, ss to first ch to form a ring, make 1ch, work 1dc, 1ch, 1tr into stitch at base of 1ch, miss 2ch, * work 1dc, 1ch, 1tr into next ch, miss 2ch, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (33 groups)

2nd Row – 1ch, work 1dc, 1ch, 1tr into next 1ch space, * miss 1dc and 1tr, work 1dc, 1ch, 1tr into next 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt 2nd Row until 11 rows have been worked in all or work measures approx 3 inches from beginning. Fasten off.

Rose Appliqué – With colour 2 make 29ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (28dc)

Petals – (RS) Make 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, (first petal) 4htr into next dc, 1dc into next dc, (second petal) * 5tr into next dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * four more times, (Third petal) # 7dtr into next dc, 1dc into next dc, # rpt from # to # 6 more times, 1dc into last dc. Fasten off.

Working from first to third petal roll up flower, using the loose yarn sew around petals at back to secure.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn on ear warmer and rose appliqué attach rose over ss seam on ear warmer.
