I have used Stylecraft Special double knitting yarn for samples in colours Shrimp and White.

Abbreviations
RS. Right Side
ch. Chain
tr. Treble Crochet
dtr. Double Treble Crochet
rpt. Repeat
ss. Slip Stitch
tch. Turning Chain
3ch counts as a tr
4ch counts as a dtr
Base of ch. Work into first stitch
Approx Finished Size: 4 Inch Diameter
Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn
I have used approximately:-
Small amounts of Stylecraft Special DK Yarn in each of the colours

Made in rounds without turning.
With colour 1 make a magic circle, work 3ch, (RS) 11tr into circle, pull the loose thread to close, ss to top of 3tch on beginning of row. Fasten off. (11tr + 3ch)
Join in colour 2 with a ss to top of 3tch.
2nd Row – 3ch, 1tr into base of 3ch, 2tr into each tr to end, ss to the top of 3tch on the beginning of row. Fasten off. (23tr + 3ch)
Join in colour 1 with a ss to top of 3tch.
3rd Row – 4ch, (2dtr, 4ch, ss) into base of 4ch, miss 1tr, * work (ss, 4ch, 2dtr, 4ch, ss) into next tr, miss 1tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to ss on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
