Crochet Iris Stitch Tutorial - Free Instructions on Crochet 'n' Create

Crochet iris stitch tutorial, this beautiful one row repeat shell stitch design is so easy to do and can be used for so many things, for the swatches I have used a solid colour light worsted #3 yarn (double knitting for UK) and a 4.00mm hook size.

It will work with any yarn and hook size, variegate colours would look good too!

ch. Chain
tr. Treble Crochet
tch. Turning Chain

Shell Group. (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into same space or stitch.

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

Made in multiples of 4 + 3.

I have made 35ch loosely for the swatch, work (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into 5th ch from hook, * miss 3ch, (2tr, 1ch, 2tr) into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, miss 1ch, 1tr into last ch. Turn. (8 shell groups)

2nd Row – 3ch, work shell into each 1ch space of shell on row below to 3tch, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

Rpt 2nd Row until required length.

USA format below:-
