Crochet offset shell stitch, lovely design created with a block and offset shell, it is crocheted in an easy one row repeat pattern and can be used for baby blankets, dishcloths, things around your home etc.
For the samples I have used a light worsted #3 yarn with a 4.50mm crochet hook size, but it would work with any thickness yarn and hook size.

I made 40ch for the sample, work 1tr into 4th ch from hook, 1tr into each of next 3ch, * miss 2ch, work 5tr into next ch, make 2ch, miss 3ch, work 1tr into each of the next 5ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
2nd Row – 3ch, 1tr into each of next 4tr, * miss 2ch, work 5tr into next tr, make 2ch, miss 4tr, work 1tr into each of next 5tr, * rpt from * to * to end, work last tr into top of 3tch. Turn.
Rpt 2nd Row until length required.
