You can use any yarn and size hook for this stitch, but for the picture swatches I have used light worsted #3 yarn (double knitting for UK users) and a 4.50mm crochet hook size.

Made in multiples of 2 + 3.
I have made 25ch loosely, work 2tr into 5th ch from hook, * miss 1ch, 2tr into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, miss 1ch, work 1tr into last ch. Turn.
2nd Row – 3ch, miss 1tr, work 2tr into space between next 2tr, * miss 2tr, 2tr into space between next 2tr, * rpt * to * to last tr and 3tch, miss 1tr, work 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.
Repeat 2nd Row until length required, changing colours if you wish to your own preference.
