Abbreviations USA
ch.
     Chain

dc.     Double Crochet
Rpt.   Repeat
tch.    Turning Chain

vst.    (1dc, ch1, 1dc) into same space or stitch.

Make a chain length in multiples of 4 + 2

First Row – Work 1dc in the sixth ch from hook, * skip 3ch, vst (see abbrev) in next ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.

Second Row – ch3, skip next ch1 and dc, * work 4dc in the space between next vst, skip next vst, * rpt from * to * to last vst, dc and 5tch, skip vst, work 4dc in space between next dc, skip dc, work 1dc in 4th of ch5. Turn.

Third Row – ch4, work 1dc in space between next dc, * skip 4dc, work vst in space between next dc, *  rpt from * to * to last 4dc and 3tch, skip 4dc, work 1dc in ch3 space, ch1, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.

Rpt the Second Row working last dc into 3rd of 4ch (not 4th of 5th ch) and Third Row alternately until desired length, change the colors on every row.

Rpt the Second Row working last tr into 3rd of 4ch (not 4th of 5ch) and Third Row alternately until desired length, change the colors on every row.
