Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

100 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK in color 1
10 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK in each of the colors 2 & 3
30 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK in color 4

An equivalent yarn would be a light worsted #3

4.00mm Clover crochet hook, 3 small buttons

GAUGE – 4.5dc and 2.5 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Worked in one piece, starting with yoke.

Using color 1, ch55, (RS) 1dc in 4th ch from hook, 1dc in each ch to end. Turn. (52dc + ch3)

2nd Row – (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of the next 3dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc and 3tch, 2dc in next dc, 1dc in last dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (65dc + ch3)

3rd Row – ch3, 1dc in each dc to end, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn.

4th Row – (Inc Row) ch3, 1dc in next dc, * 2dc in next dc, 1dc in each of the next 3dc, * rpt from * to * to end, working last dc in top of ch3. Turn. (81dc + ch3)

5th Row – Rpt 3rd Row.

9th Row – (Divide for Armholes) ch3, 1dc in each of next 22dc, skip 26dc, (armhole) 1dc in each of next 47dc, skip 26dc, (armhole) 1dc in each of next 22dc, 1dc in top of ch3. Turn. (92dc + ch3)

Commence with Skirt – (WS) – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, skip 1dc, work 3ps (see abbrev) in next dc, * skip 1dc, 1sc in next dc, skip 1dc, 3ps in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc and 3tch, skip 1dc, 1sc in top of ch3. Turn. (23, ps groups)

Rpt 4th and 5th Rows in color sequence as follows:

Sleeves x 2 – With RS facing join color 1 to first skipped dc on base of armhole (where you divided) ch3, 1dc in each of next 25dc, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn. (25dc + ch3)

Second Row – ch1, 1sc in next dc, skip 1dc, work 3ps in next dc, * skip 1dc, 1sc in next dc, skip 1dc, 3ps in next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, skip 2dc, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (6, ps groups)

Third Row – ch3, skip 1ps, (1sc, ch2, 1sc) in next ps, * skip 1ps, 1vst in next sc, skip 1ps, (1sc, ch2, 1sc) in next ps, * rpt from * to * to end, work 1dc in base of 3tch, ch1, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. Turn.

Button/Buttonhole Bands – With RS facing join color 1 to lower edge of right hand side front edge, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 39 more sc evenly in row ends along to corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each ch around neck, 3sc in corner, work 40sc evenly in row ends down second front edge. Turn.

Next Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to corner. Turn. (44sc)

Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc to end.

Fasten off.

Buttonhole Row – Return to first front edge, with WS facing and starting from the neck, join color 1, working downwards, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each of next 7sc, * rpt from * to * once, ch2, skip 1sc, 1sc in each of the remaining sc. Turn. (3 buttonholes made)

Starting with ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work 1sc in each sc and ch2 space up front edge to end. (44sc)

Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, attach buttons to correspond with buttonholes.
