Frilled Sunshine Baby Hat Free Crochet Pattern on Crochet 'n' Create

Make 6ch, ss to first ch to make a ring, 3ch, work 13tr into ring, ss to top of 3ch. Turn. (13tr + 3ch)

2nd Round – 3ch, 1tr into the stitch at the base of the 3ch, 2tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch. Turn. (27tr + 3ch)

3rd Round – 3ch, 1tr into the stitch at the base of the 3ch, * 1tr into next tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, 1tr into last tr, ss to top of 3ch. Turn. (41tr + 3ch)

4th Round – 3ch, 1tr into next tr, 2tr into next tr, * 1tr into each of next 2tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to top of 3ch. Turn. (55tr + 3ch)

With contrast colour yarn make a magic circle, work 1ch, (RS) 6dc into circle, pull loose thread to close, ss to first dc on beginning of row. (6dc)

Row 2 – 7ch, 1tr into the stitch at the base of the 7ch, * (1tr, 4ch, 1tr) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to 3rd of 7ch on beginning of row. (6, 4ch spaces)

Row 3 – ss between last tr and 3ch, * (1dc, 1htr, 1tr, 3dtr, 1tr, 1htr, 1dc) into next 4ch space, ss in space between next 2tr, * rpt from * to * to last 4ch space, (1dc, 1htr, 1tr, 3dtr, 1tr, 1htr, 1dc) into space, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
