* yo, pull up loop in last stitch made, (yo, pull up loop from next stitch), (twice), yo, pull through 6 loops, yo pull through 2 loops.
Base of ch. Work in first stitch
4ch counts as first tr + 1ch.

Make a chain length in multiples of 2.
Row 1 – 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn.
Row 2 – 4ch, (yrh, pull up loop from next dc), (three times, see pic)
yrh pull through 6 loops, yrh pull though 2 loops, * make 1ch, yrh, work hdc3tog over last dc and next 2dc, (see abbrev + pic) * rpt from * to * to last dc, work 1tr into last dc. Turn.
Row 3 – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each 1ch space and hdc3tog to 4tch, 1dc into 4ch space, 1dc into 3rd of 4ch. Turn.
Rpt 2nd and 3rd rows changing colour on Row 2.
