Brighten up your dining room with this pretty table runner, if you want to make it
longer just add more rows, it is made in an easy textured stitch, I’ve done it in
3 colors but you can use as many as you like, it’s also great for saving scratch
marks or cup/pot ring marks etc.

Group. (1sc, 1dc) in same stitch or space
Base of ch. Work in first stitch
Approx Finished Size 11 x 24 Inches
I have used:-
45 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Color 1
30 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Color 2
45 grams of Stylecraft Special DK in Color 3
OR an equivalent yarn i.e
1.60oz of Worsted Weight #3 in Colors 1
1.05oz of Worsted Weight #3 in Color 2
1.60oz of Worsted Weight #3 in Colors 3
a suggested yarn for this would be Red Heart Baby Hugs Yarn
5.00mm crochet hook
GAUGE – 2 pattern rpts and 3 rows measures approx 1 Inch
Using 5.00mm hook and color 1, ch40 loosely, work (1sc, 1dc) in 2nd ch from hook, * skip 1ch, (1sc, 1dc) in next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, skip 1ch, 1sc in last ch. Turn. (19 groups)
Pattern Row – ch1, (1sc, 1dc) in base of ch1, * skip 1dc, (1sc, 1dc) in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last dc and sc, skip dc, 1sc in last sc. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Row in color sequence as follows:-
Eight more times in color 1
# Twice in color 2
Ten more times in color 3
Twice in color 2
Ten more times in color 1 #
Rpt from # to # twice. Fasten off. Turn.
Edging – Join in color 2, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each stitch to last sc, 3sc in last sc, working down first side of runner, work 1sc in row end to corner, 3sc in corner, work 1sc in each ch along cast on edge to corner, 3sc in corner, work 1sc in each row end up second side of runner to corner, sl st to first sc. Turn.
Next Row – ch1, (1sc, 3ch, 1sc) in base of ch1, * skip 1sc, (1sc, 3ch, 1sc) in next sc, * rpt from * to * around all four sides of runner to end, sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in all loose ends of yarn and trim off.
