Pamper yourself with this soft cotton bathroom washcloth, if you have the basic crochet stitch knowledge you should not have any problems making this cloth.

They crochet up very quickly and are an easy project to pop in your bag to take along wherever you may be going, as they are small items you can make them even if the weather is hot.

ch.
     Chain

sc.      Single Crochet
hdc.    Half Double Crochet
rpt.     Repeat
sl st.   Slip Stitch

Base of ch. Work in first stitch

Approx finished size:  9 x 9 Inches

Materials
I have used:- (for the 3 colored striped cloth)
20 grams of Patons 100% Cotton DK in color 1
10 grams of Patons 100% Cotton DK in colors 2 & 3

OR an equivalent yarn would be i.e
0.80oz of 100% Cotton Worsted Weight #3 in color 1
0.40oz of 100% Cotton Worsted Weight #3 in color 2 & 3

4.50mm Clover crochet hook

GAUGE – 5sc & 4 rows measures approx 1 inch

With color 1 ch31 loosely, 1hdc in 2nd ch from hook, * skip ch1, 2hdc in next ch, * rpt from * to * to last ch, 1hdc in ch. Turn. (30hdc)

Pattern Row – ch1, 1hdc in base of ch1, * skip 1hdc, 2hdc in next hdc, * rpt from * to * to last hdc, work 1hdc in hdc. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row in color sequence as follows:-

Twice in color 1
4 times in color 2
4 times in color 1
4 times in color 3
4 times in color 1

Edging – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 28sc, 3sc in corner, work 28sc evenly along in row ends down first side of cloth, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each of next 28ch along cast on edge, 3sc in corner, work 28sc evenly along in row ends up second side of cloth, 1sc in corner, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.

Row 2 – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, work * 1sc in sc to corner, 3sc in corner, * rpt from * to * to end, working 1sc in last corner, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Fasten off. Turn.

Row 3 – Join in color 2 and rpt Row 2 once. Fasten off.

Row 4 – Join in color 3 and rpt Row 2 once. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim.
