Approx finished size:- 10.5 x 10.5 Inches
Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
40 grams of Paintbox 100% Cotton DK in color 1
35 grams of Paintbox 100% Cotton DK in color 2
An equivalent yarn would be a light worsted #3 cotton
4.00mm & 4.50mm Clover crochet hooks
GAUGE – 5sc & 6 rows of sc measures approx 1 inch on 4.00mm hook

With color 1 and 4.50mm hook ch37 loosely, 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (36sc)
Pattern Row – Working in BLO (see abbrev) for the row ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.
Rpt Pattern Row until 40 rows have been worked in all or your work measures approx 7.5 Inches.
Change to 4.00mm hook.
Border – Working through both loops, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc across to the last sc, 3sc in sc, work 38sc evenly in row ends down first side of cloth, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each ch across starting chain edge, 3sc in corner, work 38sc evenly in row ends up second side of cloth, 1sc in corner, sl st to first sc on beginning of row.
Fasten off. Join in color 2.
Second Row – Working through BLO ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc and 3sc in each of the three corners to end, 1sc in last corner, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt Second Row six more times.
Fasten off. Join in color 1.
Rpt Second Row once.
Fasten off.
Flower Motif – Find on Bathroom Soap Saver pattern.
Finishing – Sew in and tie off loose ends, sew flower motif to corner on washcloth.
