Crochet Griddle Hooded Cowl

Crochet griddle hooded cowl, this easy and quick free crochet pattern can be made a couple of days.

I have used basic crochet stitches in this one row repeat crumpled griddle stitch design and a worsted weight yarn.

The crochet griddle hooded cowl is warm and cuddly for colder days.

For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn in the pattern materials section.

I have used Caron Simply Soft yarn in persimmon for the crochet griddle hooded cowl pattern, but there are lots of other colours to choose from.

Crochet Hook Size

Pattern asks for a 6.00mm crochet hook, cowl is made in any even number, so size can be changed by adding more chains and rows, but you can also use a larger hook and thicker yarn if you want to make the cowl larger.

300 grams of Caron Simply Soft yarn

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

Make in any even number.

Make 108ch loosely, work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, * 1tr into next ch, 1dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * last ch, work 1tr into last ch, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, * 1tr into next tr, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last tr, work 1tr into last tr, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt 2nd Row until work measures 18 inches from beginning. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave and trim off loose ends of yarn.
