htr.      Half Treble Crochet
rpt.      Repeat
BLO.    Back Loop Only

Base of ch. Work into first stitch.

Approx Finished Size:  6 x 53 Inches (not including pom-pom’s)

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

37 grams of Bernat Softee Baby in each of the colours 1 & 2

An equivalent yarn would be Double Knitting.

5.50mm Clover Crochet Hook

TENSION – 4htr & 3 rows measures approx 1 inch

With colour 1 make 204ch loosely, working in back bump of stitch (see pic) work 1htr into 2nd ch from hook, 1htr into each ch to end. Turn. (202htr)

2nd Row – Working into BLO (see abbrev) make 2ch, work 1htr into base of 2ch, 1htr into each htr to end. Turn.

Rpt 2nd Row in colour sequence as follows:-

Three times in colour 1, five times in colour 2, five times in colour 1. Fasten off.

Pom-Pom’s – Using colour 2, make two pom-pom’s, I used the Clover pom-pom maker number 65.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, attach a pom-pom to each end of scarf.
