To fit mug size approx:- 3 Inch diameter x 4 Inches high

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

20 grams of King Cole Big Value yarn

4.00mm Clover Crochet Hook, medium size button

TENSION – 5tr & 2.5 rows measures approx 1 inch

Worked in rounds without turning until the end of the 5th Round.

Make a magic circle, (RS) 2ch, work 12tr into ring, pull loose yarn to close, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (12tr)

2nd Round – (Inc Round)  2ch, 2tr into base of 2ch, 2tr into each tr to end, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (24tr)

3rd Round – (Inc Round)  2ch, 2tr into base of 2ch, * 1tr into next tr, 2tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, 1tr into last tr, ss to first tr on beginning of row.  (36tr)

4th Row – (Inc Round)  1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, * 1dc into each of next 2tr, 2dc into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last 2tr, 1dc into each of last 2tr, ss to first dc on beginning of row. (48dc)

5th Round – Working into BLO work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to last dc, turn leaving last dc un-worked. (47dc)

6th Round Work through both loops from now on. – Work 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, miss 1dc, (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into next dc, * miss 2dc, (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, miss 1dc, work 1dc into last dc. Turn. (15 groups)

Pattern Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, work (2dc, 2ch, 2dc) into each 2ch space to end, 1dc into last dc. Turn.

Rpt Pattern Row until you have worked 12 pattern rows in all. Fasten off.

Chain Tie – At the split rejoin yarn to the 5th Pattern Row, 20ch, ss to the 6th Pattern Row. Fasten off (see pics)

WIP picsFinishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, attach button to correspond with loop.
