Approx Finished Size:    3 x 9.5 Inches (excluding loop)

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, for 6 mug warmers I have used approximately:-

60 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK in colour 1
20 grams of King Cole Big Value Baby DK in each of the colours 2 & 3

5.00mm Clover Crochet Hook, medium size button

TENSION – 4tr & 2 rows measures approx 1 inch

Using colour 1 make 11ch loosely, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, (WS) 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (10dc)

2nd Row – 1ch, 1tr into base of 1ch, 1tr into each of next 4dc, make 12ch, work 1tr into each of next 5dc. Turn.

3rd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, pushing the chain loop away from you onto the RS of your work, work 1dc into each tr to end. Turn. Fasten off.

Rpt 2nd & 3rd Rows in colour sequence as follows:-

2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3.

Pull each chain loop through the one below to connect them (see pics).

26th Row – Join colour 1, make 1ch, 1tr into base of 1ch, 1tr into each of next 4dc, make 20ch (button loop) work 1tr into each of next 5dc to end. Turn.

27th Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 3tr, 1dc into each of next 2tr and through the last 12ch loop (to secure loop), 1dc into each of next 4tr. Fasten off. Turn.

With RS of work facing, rejoin colour 1 to opposite corner from where you fastened off, work 40 ss loosely evenly into row ends down first side, 1ss into each ch along starting chain edge and 40 ss loosely evenly into row ends up second side. Turn. See neat edge pictorial

Border – Make 1ch, work 1dc into each ss down first side, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ss along starting chain edge, 3dc into corner, work 1dc into each ss up second side, ss to next dc. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave and trim off any loose ends of yarn, attach button to correspond with button loop.

Border – ch1, work 1sc in each sl st down first side, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each sl st along starting chain edge, 3sc in corner, work 1sc in each sl st up second side, sl st to next sc. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave and trim off any loose ends of yarn, attach button to correspond with button loop.
