tr2tog.  Leaving last loop of each tr on hook, work 2tr into same space or stitch, yrh and draw through all loops.

tr3tog.  Leaving last loop of each tr on hook, work 3tr into same space or stitch, yrh and draw through all loops.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Finished Size approx:
Scrubby:   3.5 inch Diameter

Bag:          6 x 7.5 inches

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

60 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in colour 1
20 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in colour 2

An equivalent yarn would be a light worsted #3 cotton

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

Worked in rounds without turning throughout.

Scrubby – Make 3 in colour 1 and 3 in colour 2.

Make magic circle, work 2ch, 12tr into circle, pull loose thread to close, ss to first tr on beginning of row. Turn. (12tr)

2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * make 2ch, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end, make 2ch, ss to first dc on beginning of row. (12, 2ch spaces)

3rd Row – ss into first 2ch space, work 2ch, tr2tog (see abbrev) into same 2ch space, * make 2ch, miss dc, tr3tog (see abbrev) into next 2ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, make 2ch, ss to first tr2tog on beginning of row. (12, tr3tog)

4th Row – 2ch, 1tr into base of 2ch, work 3tr into next 2ch space, * 1tr into top of tr3tog, 3tr into next 2ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first tr on beginning of row. Turn. (48tr)

5th Row – 1ch, work ss loosely into each tr to end, ss to ss on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave and trim off all loose ends of yarn.

Holder – With colour 1 make 28ch, (RS) 2dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each of next 25dc, 4dc into last dc, working along starting chain edge work 1dc into each of next 25dc, 2dc into last dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (58dc)

Second Row – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Third Row – 2ch, 1tr into stitch at base of 2ch, * make 1ch, miss 1dc, 1tr into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, make 1ch, miss last dc, ss to first tr on beginning of row. (29tr, 29, 1ch spaces)

Fourth Row – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each 1ch space and tr to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt Third & fourth Rows until 24 rows have been worked in all. Fasten off.

Draw String Tie – Make 71ch, work ss into 2nd ch from hook, ss into each ch to end. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
