200 grams of King Cole Comfort Aran yarn in each of the colours 2 & 3

Made in any even number.
With colour 1 make 118ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, * 1tr into next ch, 1dc into next ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn. (58tr & 59dc)
2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, 1dc into each tr and dc to end. Turn. (117dc)
3rd Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, * 1tr into next dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
With colour 1 work 2nd & 3rd Rows twice. Fasten off. (7 rows worked)
With colour 2 work 2nd & 3rd Rows three times, then 2nd Row once. Fasten off. (14 rows worked)
With colour 1 work 3rd Row once, then 2nd & 3rd Rows three times. Fasten off. (21 rows worked)

Work 2 more dc into last dc, 1dc into each row end down first side of blanket, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting chain edge, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each row end up second side of blanket, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each stitch along the top of the blanket, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Border – Make 6ch, work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each of next 4ch back towards the blanket edge, * ss into the next 2dc on the blanket. Turn your work, make 1ch, miss 2ss, work 1dc into the BLO of each of the 5dc you just made. Turn, 1ch, 1dc into the BLO of each of the 5dc, * rpt from * to * until you reach a corner.
Work the corner as follows:-
# 1ss into centre dc on corner, turn, make 1ch, miss 1ss, 1dc into BLO of each of next 5dc, turn, 1ch, 1dc into the BLO of each of the 5dc, # rpt # to # twice. (see pic)
Repeat the border from * to * and the corner instructions around the edge of the blanket. Fasten off.
Sew the bottom edge of the starting chain to the last row of the ribbing.
Finishing – Weave and trim off any loose ends of yarn.
