fptr.  Work treble crochet around the front of the post of the treble crochet on the row below.

fpdc. Work double crochet around the front of the post of the treble crochet on the row below.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

3ch counts as first tr
4ch counts as first (tr, 1ch)

35 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in colour 1

35 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in colour 2

3.50mm Clover crochet hook

TENSION – 1 Shell block & 2 rows measures approx 1 Inch

Worked in rounds without turning throughout.

With colour 1 make 10ch, ss to first ch to form a ring, (RS) 3ch, work 21tr into ring, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of row. (21tr + 3ch)

2nd Round – 6ch, miss 1tr, 1tr into next tr, * 3ch, miss 1tr, 1tr into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr, work 3ch, miss last tr, ss to 3rd of 6ch. (11, 3ch spaces)

3rd Round – ss into first 3ch space, (3ch, 2tr, 1ch, 3tr) into same ch space, * miss 1tr, 1 shell (see abbrev) into next 3ch space, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 3tch on the row below, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round. (11 shell groups)

4th Round – 3ch, * 1 shell into 1ch space of next shell, 1tr into space between next 2 shells, * rpt from * to * to last shell, 1 shell into 1ch space on last shell, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round.

5th Round – 3ch, * 1 shell into 1ch space of next shell, 1tr into single tr, * rpt from * to * to last shell, 1 shell into last shell, ss to top of 3ch on beginning of round.

6th Round – 4ch, 1tr into base of 4ch, * 1 shell into 1ch space on next shell, work vst (see abbrev) into single tr, * rpt from * to * to last shell, 1 shell into 1ch space on last shell, ss to 3rd of 4ch on beginning of round.
