15 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in colour 1
15 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK in colour 2
4.50mm & 4.00mm Crochet Hooks
TENSION – 4tr & 2 rows of tr measures approx 1 inch

Made in multiples of 10 + 6.
With 4.50mm hook and colour 1, make 36ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each of next 4ch, * work 1tr into each of next 5ch, work 1dc into each of next 5ch, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 4dc, * 1tr into each of next 5tr, 1dc into each of next 5dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
Fasten off. Join in colour 2.
3rd Row – Working through BLO make 2ch, 1tr into stitch at base of 2ch, 1tr into each of next 4dc, * 1dc into each of next 5tr, 1tr into each of next 5dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
4th Row – 2ch, 1tr into stitch at base of 2ch, 1tr into each of next 4tr, * 1dc into each of next 5dc, 1tr into each of next 5tr, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
Fasten off. Join in colour 1.

Fourth Pattern Row – 2ch, 1tr into stitch at base of 2ch, 1tr into each of next 4tr, * 1dc into each of next 5dc, 1tr into each of next 5tr, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
Fasten off. Join in colour 1.
Rpt First to Fourth Pattern Rows changing colours every 2 rows until 26 rows have been worked in all from beginning. Do not Fasten off, turn.
Border – Change to 4.00mm hook, make 1ch, work 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each stitch to end, 3dc into corner, work 37dc evenly along into row ends down first side of cloth, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting chain edge, 3dc into corner, work 37dc evenly along into row ends up second side of cloth, 1dc into corner, ss to first dc. Turn.
Working 3dc into corners and slip stitching to first dc on the end of the row, work one more row in dc around cloth. Turn.
Chain Looped Edge – 1ch, ss into stitch at base of 1ch, make 4ch, ss into same stitch, * make 4ch, miss 1dc, ss into next dc, * rpt from * to * around, working (ss, 4ch, ss) into each corner. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
