I have crocheted them in white, but you can make them in red and green to add some color to your room if you wish.
The materials I have used for the sample are Paintbox Simply DK yarn in color White using 4.00mm Clover crochet hook

Abbreviations
RS. Right Side
ch. Chain
sc. Single Crochet
dc. Double Crochet
rpt. Repeat
sl st. Slip Stitch
Picot. (ch3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook)
ch3 counts as first dc
Base of ch. Work in first stitch
Approx Finished Size: 3.5 Inch Diameter

For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn I have used:-
Small amount of Paintbox Simply DK

Made in rounds without turning throughout.
Make a magic circle, ch3, (RS) 11dc in circle, pull loose thread to close, sl st to top of ch3 on beginning of row. (11dc + ch3)
2nd Row – ch7, * skip 1dc, 1dc in next dc, ch4, * rpt from * to * to last dc, skip dc, sl st to 3rd of 7ch on beginning of row. (6, ch4 spaces)
3rd Row – Work * (2sc, picot, 1sc, ch6, 1sc, picot, 2sc) in next ch4 space, skip 1dc, * rpt from * to * to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row, ch20, sl st to same sc. (For picot stitch see abbrev)
Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
