Santa Boot Crochet Bunting Pattern UK

Abbreviations UK
ch.
      Chain

dc.      Double Crochet
rpt.     Repeat
ss.       Slip Stitch

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Approx Finished Size:   2.2 inches wide x 2.6 inches long 

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used:-

Small amounts of Stylecraft Special DK in each of the colours 1 & 2

4.00mm crochet hook

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

I have made 6 boots, make as many as you need for your bunting.

With colour 1 make 11ch, work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (10dc)

2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.

Rpt 2nd Row until 6 rows have been worked in all. Turn.

7th Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, 1dc into each of next 5dc, turn leaving 4dc un-worked. (6dc)

Rpt 2nd Row 3 times. Fasten off.

Join in colour 2 and rpt 2nd Row 3 times.

Next Row – 1ch, work ss into each dc to end, make 10ch at the end of last row, ss to side of last dc. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.

Bunting Chain – Make 10ch, ss to 10th ch from hook to make a loop, continue making chains for as long as you would like your bunting to be, add 10 more ch’s and ss to 10th ch from hook (second loop) work ss into each ch back to first loop. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Thread the bunting chain through the chain loops on boots, alternatively you can hang the boots on your Christmas tree branches.
