ch. Chain
dc. Double Crochet
rpt. Repeat
Group. (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into same space or stitch.
Base of ch. Work into first stitch
Approx Finished Size: 2.25 x 18 Inches (approx 6 inch diameter cake)
Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used:-
Small amounts of Stylecraft Special DK yarn in colours 1, 2 & 3
4.00mm Clover Crochet Hook, Small button.

Add multiples of 2 for a larger frill.
With colour 1 make 78ch loosely, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (77dc)
2nd & 3rd Rows – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Fasten off. Join in colour 2.
4th Row – Rpt 2nd Row to end, make 10ch. Turn.
5th Row – ss into first dc, (makes button loop) rpt 2nd Row.
Fasten off. Join colour 1.
6th to 8th Rows – Rpt 2nd Row.
Fasten off. Join in colour 3.
9th Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * miss 1dc, (1dc, 3ch, 1dc) into next dc, * rpt from * to * to last 2dc, miss 1dc, 1dc into last dc. (37 groups)
Fasten off.
Using colour 3 yarn, repeat 9th Row along starting chain edge.
Fasten off.
Bow – Using 4.00mm hook and colour 2

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn, sew small button to correspond with button loop, attach bow to front of frill.
