Single puff crochet scarf, using the easy sweet sc puff stitch design this scarf is warm and great for those colder days out. I have added a fringe, but you can leave it without if you wish.

The pattern for this gorgeous single puff crochet scarf is written using a worsted weight #4 (Aran for UK users) yarn, with a 5.00mm crochet hook size, you can use a larger hook size to create the starting chain, this makes it loose to work into, have fun and enjoy!

ch.     Chain
dc.     Double Crochet
rpt.    Repeat
yrh.   Yarn Round Hook

dcps.   Double Crochet Puff Stitch
Insert hook into next st, pull up loop, yrh, insert hook into same stitch, pull up loop, yrh, pull through four loops on hook.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Size to fit:   5.5 Inches x 62.5 Inches

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, you will need approximately:-

120 grams of Caron Simply Soft in colour 1
100 grams of Caron Simply Soft in colour 2

An equivalent yarn would be Aran weight

5.00mm & 6.50mm crochet hooks

TENSION – 3dcps & 4 rows measures approx 1 inch

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

Made in any number + 1.

With 6.50mm hook and colour 1 make 203ch, change to 5.00mm hook. 

Working into back bump of stitch (see pic) this will now be the RS of your work, work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (202dc)

2nd Row – 1ch, 1dcps (see abbrev) into each dc to end. Turn. (202dcps)

3rd Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, 1dc into each dcps to end. Turn.

4th Row – 1ch, 1dcps into each dc to end. Turn. Fasten off.

Rpt 3rd and 4th Rows in colour sequence as follows:

Twice in colour 2, twice in colour 1, twice in colour 2, twice in colour 1.

21st Row – Rpt 3rd Row once. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn.

Tassels – Make 12 in colour 1 and 8 in colour 2

For each tassel cut 3 strands of yarn approx 10 inches long (or the length you require)

Fold each tassel in half and thread the opens ends of tassels through the ends of puff stitch rows on scarf, pull open ends through loop you have created and secure, trim to make even.
