I have used a variegated yarn with an adjacent shells stitch for this design with a looped chain edge to finish.

Crocheted with 3 solid colours using simple single crochet and double crochet stitch then edged with shells.

Made up of shells and v stitches this pretty blanket is then finished with post double crochet and picot edge.
