UK INSTRUCTIONS:

Starting with yoke and worked in one piece.

Make 56ch, (RS) work 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each of the next 7ch, (front) 3dc into next ch, 1dc into each of next 9ch, (sleeve) 3dc into next ch, 1dc into each of next 17ch, (back) 3dc into next ch, 1dc into each of next 9ch, (sleeve) 3dc into next ch, 1dc into each of next 8ch. (front) Turn. (63dc)

2nd Row – (Inc Row) 3ch, work * 1tr into each dc to next 3dc group, 1tr into next dc, 3tr into centre dc of 3dc group, * rpt from * to * to last 3dc group, 1tr into next dc, 3tr into centre dc of 3dc group,  1tr into each dc to end. Turn. (70tr + 3ch)

3rd Row – (Inc Row) 3ch, work * 1tr into each tr to next 3tr group, 1tr into next tr, 3tr into centre tr of 3tr group, * rpt from * to * to last 3tr group, 1tr into next tr, 3tr into centre tr of 3tr group, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (78tr + 3ch)

4th to 8th Rows – Rpt 3rd Row. (118tr + 3ch)

9th Row – (Inc Row) 3ch, work * 1tr into each tr to next 3tr group, 1tr into next tr, 5tr into centre tr of 3tr group, * rpt from * to * to last 3tr group, 1tr into next tr, 5tr into centre tr of 3tr group, 1tr into each tr to end, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn. (134tr + 3ch)

10th Row – (Divide for Armholes) 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 17tr, 2dc into next tr, miss 29tr, work 2dc into next tr, 1dc into each of next 37tr, 2dc into next tr, miss 29tr, work 2dc into next tr, 1dc into each tr to end, 1dc into top of 3ch. Turn. (81dc)

11th Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1cl (see abbrev) into next dc, make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt * to * to end. Turn. (20cl)

12th Row – 5ch, 1dc into next cl, * make 5ch, 1dc into next cl, * rpt * to * to last 2ch space and dc, make 2ch, miss 2ch space, 1tr into dc. Turn.

13th Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of 1ch, * make 2ch, work 1cl  into next dc, make 2ch, work 1dc into next 5ch space, * rpt * to * to end working last dc into the 3rd of the 5ch. Turn.

Rpt 12th & 13th Rows until 27 rows have been worked in all from beginning. Fasten off.

Sleeve x 2 – With WS facing, join yarn with a sl st under arm to first missed tr, make 3ch, work 1tr into each of the next 28tr, ss to top of 3ch on the beginning of row. Turn. (28tr + 3ch)

Second Row – 3ch, work 1tr into each tr to end, ss to top of 3ch on the beginning of row. Turn.

Rpt Second Row until 9 rows have been worked from yoke. Turn.

Tenth Row – 1ch, 1dc into next tr, 1dc into each tr to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (28dc)

Eleventh Row – Working through BLO make 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1cl into next dc, make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into next dc, * rpt * to * to end, make 2ch, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Work through both loops of stitch from now on.

Folded Cuffs
Twelfth Row – 5ch, 1dc into next cl, * make 5ch, 1dc into next cl, * rpt * to * to last 2ch space, make 2ch, ss to 3rd of 5ch on beginning of row. Turn.

Thirteen Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of 1ch, * make 2ch, work 1cl  into next dc, make 2ch, work 1dc into next 5ch space, * rpt * to * to end make 2ch, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.

Button/Buttonhole Bands – With RS facing join yarn to lower edge of right hand side front edge, make 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of 1ch, work 38 more dc evenly into row ends up first front edge, 2dc into corner, 1dc into each ch around neck edge, 2dc into corner, 39dc evenly into row ends down second front edge. Turn.

Rows 2 & 3 – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at the base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 39dc. Turn. (40dc)

Buttonhole Row – Return to first front edge, with WS facing, starting from the neck and working downwards, make 1ch, work 1dc into stitch at the base of 1ch, * make 2ch, miss 1dc, work 1dc into each of next 8dc, * rpt from * to * three more times, make 2ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of the remaining dc. Turn. (5 buttonholes made)

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into stitch at the base of 1ch, work 1dc into each dc and 2ch space up front edge to end. Fasten off. (41dc)

Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends of yarn, sew on buttons to correspond with buttonholes, fold cuffs on sleeves.

Folded Cuffs
