To keep the booties on those tiny feet I have added a chain tie to thread through on the ankles and finished them off with small pom-pom’s.
Using different size crochet hooks this design can made for 0-6 months age.

For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
50 grams of King Cole baby Comfort DK yarn
You can for a 0-3 month use a 4.00mm crochet hook
TENSION – 4dc and 6 rows of dc measures approx 1 inch

UK INSTRUCTIONS:
Make 2 – Make 10ch, (RS) 3htr into 3rd ch from hook, 1htr into each of next 6ch, 8htr into last ch, working on opposite side of cast on ch, work 1htr into each of next 6ch, 4htr into last ch, ss to top of 2ch on beginning of of row. DNT. (27htr + 2ch)
2nd Round – 2ch, work 2htr into each of next 3htr, 1htr into each of next 8htr, 2htr into each of next 6htr, 1htr into each of next 8htr, 2htr into each of last 2htr, 1htr into stitch at base of 2ch, ss to top of 2ch. DNT. (39htr + 2ch)
3rd Round – 2ch, miss first htr, 1htr into each htr to end, 1htr into stitch at base of 2ch, ss to top of 2ch. DNT. (39htr + 2ch)
4th Round – Working into BLO, make 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each htr to end. Turn (40dc)
5th Round (working through both loops) – Make 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn (40dc)
Rpt last row twice. Fasten off.
Instep – With RS facing and counting from where you just fastened off, (back seam) miss 12dc, rejoin yarn to next dc, 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into next 15dc, turn leaving 12dc un-worked. (16dc)
Dec Row 1 – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (see abbrev) 7 times, 1dc into last dc. Turn. (9dc)
Dec Row 2 – 1ch, 1dc in base of 1ch, (dec 1dc over next 2dc) 4 times. Turn. (5dc)
Dec Row 3 – 1ch, 1dc in base of 1ch, (dec 1dc over next 2dc) 2 times. Turn (3dc)
Work ss through 3rd dc. Fasten off.
Top – With RS facing join yarn to back seam, work 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 11dc to instep, work 8dc evenly along top of instep, 1dc into each of next 12dc, ss to first dc. Turn.
Second Row – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, * 1ch, miss 1dc, 1dc into each of next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, 1ch, miss last dc, ss to first dc. Turn.
Third Row – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each 1ch space and dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn. (32dc)
Work six more rows in dc, turning at the end of each row and ss to first dc. Turn.
Fourth Row – Working into BLO, make 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn.
Working through both loops, work two more rows in dc, turning and ss at the end of each row.
Fifth Row – 3ch, * miss 1dc, * 5tr into next dc, (5tr group), miss 3dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, miss last dc, ss to top of 3ch. Turn. (8, 5tr groups)
Sixth Row – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, * 5tr group into centre tr of next group, 1dc into space between next 2 groups, * rpt from * to * to end, ss to first dc. Fasten off.
Return to loose loops on sole of bootie, with sole facing you, join yarn to first loop at back seam, 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, work 1dc into each loop loosely to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Chain Tie – Make 80ch. Fasten off.
Finishing – Sew in ends and tie off, thread chain tie through 1ch loops on ankle and tie in a bow. Make 4 small pom-pom’s (I used Clover Pom-Pom maker 25) and attach to each end of ties.
