Pull up loop from each of next 2dc, yrh pull through all loops.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Size to fit Approx: 0-3  &  3-6 Months Baby

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

30 grams of King Cole Comfort DK yarn

3.50mm crochet hook
Use a 4.00mm hook for 3-6 month

TENSION – 5dc & 6 rows measures approx 1 inch

Make 2 booties the same.

Cuff – Make 9ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (8dc)

2nd Row – Working into BLO (see abbrev) make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.

Rpt 2nd Row until you have worked 24 rows in all.

Fold work in half and ss last row worked and starting chain edge together to make a round.

Turn your work so you are working into the row ends, (ss seam facing) make 1ch, (RS) work 1dc into each row end to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (24dc)

Ankle
Working into BLO, work 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of round. Turn.

Working through both loops from now on, rpt last round until 8 more rounds have been worked. Fasten off.

Instep – Miss 8dc join yarn to 9th dc with a ss, 1ch, 1dc into base of ch, 1dc into each of next 7dc. Turn. (8dc)

Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch and turning at the end of each row, work 7 more rows of 1dc into each dc.

You should have 8 rows worked in all for instep. Fasten off. Turn.

Shape Sole
With RS facing return to back seam where you casted off at ankle, (see picture)

Work 1dc into each of next 8dc along ankle, 1dc into each of next 8 row ends up first side of instep, 1dc into each of 8dc along toe, 1dc into each row end down second side of instep, 1dc into each of next 8dc along ankle, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn. (40dc)

Row 2 – Make 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc. Turn.

Round 3 (Dec Row) – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (see abbrev) 1dc into each of the next 15dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (twice), 1dc into next 15dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into last dc, ss to first dc. Turn. (36dc)

Round 4 – Rpt Row 2.

Round 5 (Dec Row) – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of the next 13dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (twice), 1dc into next 13dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into last dc, ss to first dc. Turn. (32dc)

Round 6 – Rpt Row 2

Round 7 (Dec Row) – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each of the next 11dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (twice), 1dc into next 11dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into last dc, ss to first dc. Turn. (28dc)

With WS of bootie facing, make 1ch, ss loosely through both sides of dc’s to close gap on sole of bootie. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in all ends. Turn through to RS, turn down cuff from where you worked into BLO on ankle.
