This crochet waffle baby blanket is ideal for any crocheter to make as a lovely gift or to crochet for your own baby, the waffle stitch has loads of squishy texture, so is beautifully soft to touch.
The free waffle baby blanket pattern has the number of multiples in the instructions so that you can make the blanket bigger if you wish.
The pattern is crocheted from the bottom up and is worked in a two row repeat design, using double crochet (tr for UK) and front post double crochet (fptr for UK) stitches, using a light worsted (double knitting for UK) yarn, then edged with single crochet and crab stitch.

Best Yarn
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn in the pattern materials section.
I have used King Cole double knitting in two colours for the crochet waffle baby blanket, this can be substituted with a light worsted yarn.
Crochet Hook Size
Pattern asks for a 6.00mm crochet hook for the main part of the blanket and a 4.00mm crochet hook for the border, if you don’t want change the amount of starting chains as the pattern instructs, you can if you wish use a larger or smaller hook to change the size of this free crochet baby blanket.
