vst. (1tr, 2ch, 1tr) into same space or stitch.
Base of ch. Work into first stitch.
3ch counts as first tr.
Approx Finished size: 37 Inches x 36 Inches
Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-
400 grams of King Cole Comfort Aran in colour 1
100 grams of King Cole Comfort Aran in colour 2
6.00mm Clover Soft Touch Crochet Hook
TENSION – 1 shell & 2 rows of pattern measures approx 1 Inch
*************************************************************
Made in multiples of 6 + 3.
With colour 1 make 159ch loosely, work 1vst (see abbrev) into 6th ch from hook, miss 2ch, 1tr into next ch, * miss 2ch, 1vst into next ch, miss 2ch, 1tr into next ch, * rpt from * to * to end. (26vst)
2nd Row – (RS) 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * 1 shell (see abbrev) into next vst, 1dc into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last vst and 5ch, 1 shell into vst, 1dc into top of 5ch. Turn. (26 shell groups)
Fasten off. Join in colour 2.
3rd Row – 3ch, * 1 vst into 1ch space of shell, 1tr into dc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
4th Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, * 1 shell into next vst, 1dc into next tr, * rpt from * to * to last vst and 3tch, 1 shell into vst, 1dc into top of 3ch. Turn.
Repeat 3rd & 4th Rows in colour sequence as follows:-
Twice in colour 1 ~~~ once in colour 2 ~~~ twice in colour 1 ~~~ once in colour 2 ~~~ nineteen in colour 1 ~~~ once in colour 2 ~~~ twice in colour 1 ~~~ once in colour 2 ~~~ twice in colour 1 ~~~ once in colour 2 ~~~ once in colour 1. Fasten off.
You should have 70 rows worked in all from beginning or your work measures approx 36.5 inches from beginning. Turn.
Using colour 1, with RS facing rpt 4th Row along starting chain edge. Fasten off.
With WS facing and colour 1, work dc’s evenly into row ends along each side of blanket. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in and trim off any loose ends.
