Pull up loop from each of next 2dc, yrh and pull through all loops.

Approx Finished Size: 19 x 12 (with button closed)

100 grams of King Cole Cottonsoft DK yarn
5.00mm Clover Soft Touch Crochet Hook, 1 medium button

Pattern is written using one colour, you can alternate a second colour if you wish.
Make 38ch loosely, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook, 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (37dc)
2nd Row – (RS) 2ch, 1tr into base of 2ch, tr2tog (see abbrev) into each of next 35dc, 1tr into last dc. Turn. (35 tr2tog)
3rd Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each stitch to end. Turn.
Rpt 2nd & 3rd Row 19 more times.
Shape Top – 1ch, dec 1dc (see abbrev) over next 2dc, (twice) 1dc into each dc to last 4dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc (twice). Turn.
43rd Row – 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each dc to last 2dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc. Turn.
44th Row – 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, (twice) 1dc into each dc to last 4dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc (twice). Turn.
45th Row – 1ch, dec 1dc over next 2dc, 1dc into each dc to last 2dc, dec 1dc over next 2dc. Turn.
Rpt 45th Row until 9dc remain. Turn.
55th to 66th Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.
Buttonhole – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 2dc, make 3ch, miss 3dc, 1dc into each of next 3dc. Turn.
68th Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 2dc, 3dc into 3ch space, 1dc into each of next 3dc. Turn.
Rpt 45th Row until 3dc remain. Turn.
Border – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc and row end down first side of top shaping, 2dc into next row end, 1dc into each row along, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each ch along starting ch edge, 3dc into corner, 1dc into each row end up second side of towel to start of top shaping, 2dc into next row end, (see pic) 1dc into each row end to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.
Starting with 1ch, 1dc into base of dc, work 1dc into each dc to end, working 3dc into corners and 2dc into dc at the start of top shaping, (see pic) ss to first dc on beginning of row. Fasten off.
Finishing – Weave in trim off all loose ends of yarn.
