In-Between Groups Stitch

In-between groups stitch, pretty stitch pattern written in easy instructions, crochet blankets, scarves, hats and many more items in this lovely design.

The tutorial is worded in one colour, but using two does make it pop!

In-Between Groups Stitch UK

Skill Level: Intermediate

Abbreviations UK
ch.
     Chain

dc.     Double Crochet
tr.      Treble Crochet
rpt.    Repeat
tch.    Turning Chain

vst.    (1tr, 1ch, 1tr) into same stitch or space.
Group. (3tr into same stitch or space.

2ch counts as first tr.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

Small amounts of Bernat Softee yarn in colours of your choice

UK INSTRUCTIONS:

Made in multiples of 4 + 3.

I have made 32ch for the samples, work 1tr into 4th ch from hook, * miss 1ch, 1dc into next ch, miss 1ch, 3tr into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, miss 1ch, work 2tr into last ch. Turn.

2nd Row – 1ch, 1dc into the stitch at the base of the 1ch, * work 1vst (see abbrev) into next dc, make 1ch, miss 3tr, * rpt from * to * to last tr and tch, miss 1tr, work 1dc into top of tch. Turn.

3rd Row – 2ch, 1tr into the stitch at the base of the 2ch, miss 1tr, * work 1dc into 1ch space on vst, miss 1tr, work 3tr into next 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to last vst and dc, work 1dc, into 1ch space on vst, miss 1tr, 2tr into dc. Turn.

Rpt 2nd & 3rd Rows, alternating colours on each row if you prefer until required length.
