Really Easy Beach Tote – Just the thing to put all your bits and bobs in for a relaxing day at the beach.

Crocheted using yarn double thickness to make it bulky and chunkier.

Really Easy Beach Tote UK

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Approx Finished Measurement:  17 x 13 Inches (including handles)

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

2 x 100 grams of King Cole Comfort Kids DK
Use the two 100 gram balls together to make a double thickness

6.00mm crochet hook

TENSION – 3tr and 2 rows measure approx 1 inch

UK BEACH TOTE INSTRUCTIONS:

Using 2 strands of yarn together make 37ch, (RS) Work 3tr into 3rd ch from hook, 1tr into each of next 33ch, 6tr into next ch, working along opposite side of starting chain edge, work 1tr into each of next 33ch, 3tr into last ch, miss 2tch, ss to first tr on beginning of row. Turn. (78tr)

2nd Row – 2ch, 1tr into stitch at base of 2ch, 1tr into each ch to end, miss 2tch, ss to first tr on beginning of row. Turn.

3rd to 23rd Row rpt 2nd Row. Turn.

Strap – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 8tr, make 38ch, miss 21tr, 1dc into each of next 18tr, make 38ch, miss 21tr, 1dc into each of next 9tr, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Second Row – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each of next 8tr, working into back bump of ch (see pic) work 1dc into each of the 38ch, 1dc into next 18dc, working into back bump of ch, work 1dc into each of the next 38ch, 1dc into each of next 9dc, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Third Row – 1ch, 1dc into stitch at base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end, ss to first dc on beginning of row. Turn.

Fourth Row – Work a ss loosely into each dc to end. Fasten off.

Finishing – Weave in and trim off all loose ends of yarn.
