Abbreviations UK
ch.        Chain
dc.        Double Crochet
rpt.       Repeat

yrh.      Yarn Round Hook
BLO.     Back Loop Only
DNT.     Do Not Turn

dc2tog.  Pull up a loop from each of the next dc and 1ch space, yrh, pull through 3 loops.

Base of ch. Work into first stitch

Approx Size to fit:  Adult Hands  5.75 x 4 Inches

Materials
For great results it is always best to use the recommended yarn, I have used approximately:-

50 grams of King Cole Comfort DK

4.50mm crochet hook, small button for decoration

TENSION – 5dc & 5 rows measures approx 1 inch

Make two the same.

Cuff – Make 11ch, 1dc into 2nd ch from hook 1dc into each ch to end. Turn. (10dc)

2nd Row – 1ch, working through BLO work 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each dc to end. Turn.

Rpt 2nd Row until you have worked 35 rows in all. DNT. (If you want the gloves wider add rows in multiples of 2)

Turn work onto the side.

Body – 1ch, 2dc into base of 1ch, work 1dc into each row end along side of cuff to last row end, work 2dc into row end. Turn. (37dc)

Work through the both loops of the stitch from now on.

Second Row – 1ch, dc2tog over first 2dc, * make 1ch, dc2tog over next 2dc, * rpt from * to * to last dc, make 1ch, work 1dc into dc. Turn.

Third Row – 1ch, dc2tog over first dc and 1ch space, * make 1ch, dc2tog over next dc and 1ch space, * rpt from * to * to last dc, make 1ch, work 1dc into dc. Turn.

Rpt Third Row until 18 rows have been worked in all from cuff or work measures approx 5.75 inches from beginning. (Add more rows if you want longer gloves)

Ninteenth Row – 1ch, 1dc into base of 1ch, 1dc into each 1ch space and dc to end. Turn. (37dc) Fasten off.

Finishing – Fold your work in half and sew the open seam together leaving a space for your thumb. Attach button for decoration.
