tr.      Treble Crochet
rpt.    Repeat

Make a chain length loosely in multiples of 4 + 3

Work (3tr, 1ch, 1tr) into 5th ch from hook, * miss 3ch, (3tr, 1ch, 1tr) into next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, miss 1ch, 1tr into last ch. Turn.

2nd Row – 3ch, * (3tr, 1ch, 1tr) into next 1ch space, miss 4tr, * rpt from * to * to end, miss 3tr, 1tr into top of 3ch. Turn.

Rpt 2nd Row changing colours every two rows until required length.
