sc. Single Crochet
dc. Double Crochet
trc. Treble Crochet
rpt. Repeat
Base of ch. Work in first stitch.
fptrc. Work fptrc around front of the dc on row below.

Make a chain length in multiples of 2 + 1
1st Row – Work 1dc in 3rd ch from hook, 1dc in each ch to end. Turn.
2nd Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each dc to end. (do not work in top of ch2)
3rd Row – ch2, 1dc in the base of ch2, * fptrc around the dc below the next stitch, 1dc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to end. Turn.
4th Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each stitch to end. Turn.
5th Row – ch2, 1dc in the base of ch2, 1dc in next sc, * fptr around the dc below the next stitch, 1dc in the next sc * rpt from * to * the last sc, work 1dc in sc.
Rpt 2nd to 5th Rows until your required length, I have changed colours every 2 rows, but this project also looks lovely in one color.
